Tdap Clinics Open for Rising 6th Graders

Vaccinate your 5th grader now!  School entry law has changed in North Carolina. Tdap vaccination is now required for all 6th graders.  To assist with this requirement, the Cumberland County School system in collaboration with the Cumberland County Department of Public Health will host spring Tdap Clinics.  There are no fees. Special Board Meeting to Recognize Student Achievement
CCS’ Superintendent Dr. Frank Till and members of the Board of Education will recognize students throughout the CCS for their numerous achievements and honors. The special recognition program will take place on Thursday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Seventy-First High School.

STPES’s School Improvement Team (SIT) is seeking 5 parent representatives to join for the 2012-2013 school year to fulfill a two-year term.  The School Improvement Plan is available for review in the library.   SIT will be reviewing/developing an updated School Improvement Plan using a new AdvancED tool provided by Cumberland County Schools.  SIT meets monthly September through May on the 2nd Monday at 2:45 for approximately an hour.  Interested persons should contact Mrs. Owens at 910.223.2161 or owensfamily@centurylink.net.    

May 10th - AR NIGHT
AR night is a time when parent can alternate reading with their children, or bring a good book and model reading habits while their child reads. The media center will be open from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Children may check out books as long as they do not exceed their total allowed, take tests on books already read, or just read.

May 15th JOIN US  FOR THE KINDERGARTEN MUSICAL
Our 5th grade string students will perform a few selections before our Kindergartners present "A BARNYARD MOOOSICAL." You'll fall in ove with these very funny farm animals as they tell joke and sing their moosie!! Come ou and join the fun!!!
